Narrow Gate at Leatherwood Forge

Narrow Gate resides on 122 acres of beautiful Tennessee hillside located about an hour southwest of Nashville. The property includes a bed-and-breakfast lodge, a dormitory-style barn, artisan shops, fenced-in pastures, a kitchen garden, a stocked fishing pond, a low ropes course, plenty of wooded camping space, and many other attributes that altogether create the perfect home for our family.

Originally our land held the historic Leatherwood community''s blacksmith shop, hence the name Leatherwood Forge. Blacksmith Bill Casey performed many tasks that were essential to the livelihood of the rural community, such as making wagons and shoeing horses and mules. In 2010, we began working to restore the blacksmith shop in order to bring the craft back to this area. Narrow Gate now operates a fully-functioning metal shop in which our students produce both artistic works and items for practical use.

Below are a few pictures of the property; however, many have said pictures cannot even begin to capture the beauty of what God has blessed us with at Leatherwood Forge. We welcome visits, so please contact us to schedule a time to come out. For directions, please CLICK HERE.
